WMO-GCP Basic training

The blended WMO-GCP basic training is a course for participants who want to be well informed about setting up, carrying out and completing medical research with human subjects according to national and international legislation and regulations. This course is a combination of e-learning and classroom setting.

Duration: 4 hours e-learning and 5 hours in classroom setting. You can go through the e-learning at your own pace, stop in between, and continue at a later time.

After completion you are well prepared to participate in the national GCP-WMO exam, organised by EMWO (www.EMWO.nl) .

For whom is the blended WMO-GCP Basic Training?

For various professional groups and students involved in setting up, carrying out and completing medical scientific research, such as doctors, pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, research team members, paramedics, psychologists/behavioural therapists, physician assistants, project managers, technical physicians, nurses.

After completion you are well prepared to participate in the national GCP-WMO exam, organised by EMWO (www.EMWO.nl) .

The training includes useful tips and tricks for anyone who is going to set up or carry out medical scientific research.

The training course is accredited by V&VN, Nursing Specialists, NAPA, KNMG-GAIA & TransCelerate.

The training provides knowledge of basic principles of medical scientific research:

  • National and international laws and regulations.
  • Non-WMO/ Biobanks.
  • Setting up, carrying out and completing medical scientific research that is subject to the WMO.
  • Pharmaceutical research (e.g. ICH-GCP guideline).
  • Medical device testing (0a. ISO14155).
  • Quality assurance (motoring, auditing).

Upon completion of this training you will understand why legislation and regulations for implementation of scientific research are necessary and you will have the tools to design and implement scientific research involving human subjects.

  • WMO-GCP Certificate after completion of training

After you have completed the training, you can download a certificate as proof that you have completed this WMO-GCP Basic training.
